Theresa and David got married earlier this year at the Monarch Cove Inn in Capitola. They also spent their engagement session exploring Capitola with Ambrose and Katharine.

Dave and Theresa began their online courtship over 2 years ago, which eventually moved over to chatting on their favorite smartphone game Scramble With Friends, which they still battle over today. Dave thought he was good at this game until meeting Theresa, who clearly had no life besides playing this game before meeting Dave.
Theresa, who was very cautious, would only agree to a short first date at Jamba Juice. They met there, shared a half hour conversation, and went their separate ways. In the ensuing weeks they would meet several more times, including lunches, dinners, and badminton. After one of those dinners, where Dave was introduced to Ramen, they had their first kiss. Very quickly they began to spend time together daily and after 8 months decided to move in together!
On their wedding day, Theresa's favorite parts were the vows and speeches. She loved being able to share their story with her guests and then hearing the stories that their parents and bridal party came up with. Her guests keep telling her how much fun everyone had (It never gets old to hear that!) and how much they loved the cake! David's favorite moments include getting ready together with the guys in the cottage, getting through their vows (whew!) and getting Pizza My Heart after the reception. He also loved playing pool in the bar to cap the night off.
They wanted their wedding to be light-hearted and fun. Serious and formal would have been the opposite of who they are. They added personal touches like old photos of their parents and non-standard touches like locking their written vows in a wine box to be opened during a special occasion in the future.
